Latest checkups and ultrasounds to determine how much of a mutant I am. Might postpone trip by a week. I’m not happy!
Today I just had an echo-cardiogramme which is a fancy name for an ultra-sound on my heart. For those who don’t know, I have a genetic condition which meant that I grew a lump in my heart when I was three. It was removed in an operation then but a little stalk was left. I have regular ultrasounds on my heart to make sure that it doesn’t grow back. As far as I am aware nothing has changed today - so that is a huge relief!
I am also currently getting a lump on my neck checked out. I had a biopsy last Friday. The doctors stuck a needle in my neck, poked around and took a tissue sample. The appointment with the specialist is this Wednesday and this may mean that I have to delay my trip by a week to get it removed. I hate growing lumps - it is annoying.
